Impact Grants

Funding for continued learning and professional growth of Edcamp educators!

Program Overview

The Edcamp Foundation awards $500 USD Impact Grants to educators who have attended at least one Edcamp (must be registered with the Edcamp Foundation) and want to enhance their professional learning and/or implement an idea or skill learned at Edcamp.

We accept Impact Grant applications through an online portal where applications are reviewed and scored by Edcamp community members using a grading rubric to anonymously determine which applications will be awarded funding. Within six months of receiving their grant money, awardees are asked to submit a final report to the Edcamp Foundation detailing how the grant impacted their professional learning and/or classroom practice.

The application period timeline is contingent upon Edcamp Foundation’s funding year and the standard U.S. school year schedule, which are are subject to change. The entire application process, from submission to award date takes three months (i.e., applications submitted in Spring are not awarded until Summer). So please be mindful of when you intend to use the grant money!

Grant applicants serving in Title 1, under-resourced districts are strongly encouraged to apply and are given priority. Educators, administrators, and support staff employed by U.S. PreK-12 schools are all welcome to apply.

Contact if you have questions.

Grading and Rubric

Applications are graded anonymously by Edcamp community members. Volunteer readers are selected, trained, and supervised by Edcamp Foundation staff prior to reading applications. Applicants are graded on a rubric scale that focuses on three key elements: program description, impact & sustainability, and plan & budget. Please view the rubric below for a breakdown of grading. For a printable version of this rubric, please click here.
