Michael Klein, Educational Strategies Specialist at the Highlander Institute, supports teachers, principals, and district leaders with the implementation of blended learning, personalized learning, and project-based learning. Michael has taught at the elementary and secondary levels in Brooklyn, Harlem, and at High Tech Middle Chula Vista (CA), coached teachers in urban, suburban, and rural districts across the country, and supported district leaders as part of two fast-growing education technology companies. He sees professional learning as a means of empowering educators to pursue educational equity and reignite their passion for teaching and learning. Michael earned his undergraduate degree at Vassar College and his Master’s in Education at Bank Street College in New York City. He lives in Providence with his wife and daughter.
